Dear colleagues and friends,
It is a great pleasure to host you for the GPB Frontiers Symposium 2020 (GFS2020)! It will be held
in Beijing, China, December 18–20. GFS2020 is hosted by Genetics Society of China, together with
Beijing Institute of Genomics (BIG), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) / China National Center
for Bioinformation (CNCB), and organized by the journal Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics
(GPB). This symposium is one of the series initiated in 2012, whose goals are to provide a
field-associated open podium for in-depth discussions on frontier discoveries, key issues, and
challenges, and to foster future collaborations among the attendees and represented institutions
and organizations. Invited speakers are outstanding scholars who have contributed significantly
to frontier advancements of genomics, proteomics, and bioinformatics. Junior scientists are also
invited for bringing current progresses and stimulating ideas in their fruitful research
activities. This year’s symposium has two themes: "Single-cell Omics and SARS-CoV-2". We
sincerely hope that such gathering becomes a premier platform for in-depth scientific
communication and knowledge sharing, effectively promoting career development and research
collaborations.
Sincerely yours,
Jun Yu, Ph.D
