Welcome

Dear Colleagues,

It is a great pleasure to host you for the 5th Genomics Frontier Symposium in Beijing, China, July 30–August 03, 2018. The 5th Genomics Frontier Symposium is hosted by Beijing Institute of Genomics (BIG), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), together with Genetics Society of China, and organized by the journal Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics (GPB), together with the Genomics Committee of the Genetics Society of China. This symposium is one of the series initiated in 2012, whose goals are to provide a field-associated open podium for in-depth discussions on frontier discoveries, key issues, and challenges, and to foster future collaborations among the attendees. The invited speakers are outstanding scholars have contributed significantly to the advancement of the research frontiers of genomics and bioinformatics. Junior scientists are also invited for bringing the research progress into the discussion freshly from the bench. This year’s symposium has four themes: “Single-cell Omics, Big Data Mining, Regulatory RNA and Modification, and Epigenetics”. We sincerely hope that this symposium series become a premier platform for in-depth scientific communication, knowledge sharing, and professional collaboration.

Welcome to Beijing!

Sincerely yours,
