It is a great pleasure to host you for the GPB Omics & Bioinformatics Frontiers Symposium 2024 (GFS2024)! It will be held in Chengdu, China, August 16–18, 2024. GFS2024 is hosted by Beijing Institute of Genomics, Chinese Academy of Sciences / China National Center for Bioinformation, organized by the Editorial Office of Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics (GPB) and Qitan Technology Ltd., Chengdu, and jointly hosted by Genetics Society of China, MGI Tech Co., Ltd., Genomics Committee of Genetics Society of China, Biological Big Data Committee of Genetics Society of China, and Rare Diseases Committee of Genetics Society of China. This symposium aims to provide a field-associated open podium for in-depth discussions on frontier discoveries, key issues, and challenges, and to foster future collaborations among the attendees. The invited speakers are outstanding scholars who have contributed significantly to the advancement of the research frontiers of omics and medical data analytics. Junior scientists are also welcome for bringing the research progress into the discussion freshly from the bench. Four sessions will be covered at GFS2024: Long-read Sequencing, New Era of Large Cohort Studies & the 4th Frontier Symposium of Population Genomic Research, Immuno-oncology, and Single-cell and Spatial Multiomics.
    We sincerely hope that this symposium series become a premier platform for in-depth scientific communication, knowledge sharing, and professional collaboration.
